I've shot bands in just about every setting there is — jam sessions, live performances, in-studio with instruments in hand, and dedicated band photo sessions built for websites, flyers, and album covers. Every setting calls for something different: a live show is about catching energy and motion in low light, while a studio session is about giving a band a clean, cohesive look they can actually use across everything they put out.
